Our Winter 2025 HAF Programme – An Unforgettable Experience

This winter, Phoenix Learning Centre proudly delivered our Winter 2025 Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme, and it was our biggest and most memorable programme to date.

Funded through the HAF initiative, the programme was completely free for children eligible for benefit-related Free School Meals, with additional paid places available to ensure wider access. Over the winter period, we welcomed the highest number of students we have ever had, creating a vibrant, inclusive, and genuinely joyful atmosphere throughout.

Children took part in a wide range of enriching activities, including:

• Hands-on science and creative workshops

• Arts and crafts sessions with seasonal themes

• Games, team challenges, and indoor activities

• A hugely popular snowball fight day that became a highlight for many

• An exciting trip to InflataNation, which was an unforgettable experience for the children and staff alike

Throughout the programme, students were supported in a safe, structured environment with strong staff supervision, allowing them to build friendships, confidence, and lasting memories.

What stood out most was the sense of community. By the end of the programme, the atmosphere truly felt like the Phoenix family - children, staff, and parents all sharing in the energy, trust, and enjoyment that defines our approach.

We are incredibly proud of what was achieved during Winter 2025 and are already looking ahead to future HAF programmes, building on the success, scale, and spirit of this one.
